Day 47

I was still hoofin' it today with my car at the shop...always liked this Dutch colonial on my street. It used to be totally hidden from view by overgrown shrubs but the (relatively) new young couple have done a lot of clearing, and just had a new walk poured from the driveway to the front door. I always liked the low stone wall along the front....

I love the rock walls too. I thought of Block Island when I saw this, it is loaded with them.

I've never been to Block Island - what's there?

I helped build a couple of rock walls in Honduras so I appreciate them very much :)

Block Island is like a paradise nestled in the ocean where most people ride bikes instead of drive cars and the drivers actually look out for the bicyclists. It's surrounded by very different types of beaches with breathtaking views. you can take a ferry from Montauk and spend the day there. The ride is a little expensive but so worth it. & you can bring your bike!
