ooohhh...I've been a b-a-a-a-a-d blogger. I've been away and missed it. In my defense, I've been working. A LOT. But, it's a new month, time for new goals....and I want to return to posting here regularly...and so, today, in honor of JUNE (can you believe it's JUNE already??), this wonderful garden from around the corner...with their tuteurs and garden statuary and fab.u.lous orangey red poppies (YUM). Welcome to June.

There's a whimsical mural painted in an alleyway between some stores on Main St...the last time I was by there I saw they'd painted over one side of it - so sad! Fortunately I had taken this shot awhile back...and I just thought it would be nice with some cherry blossoms outside the Islip Library I took on Mother's Day but never used....

this is the fence around an abandoned house and empty lot near the train tracks. i love the way the little viney curliques wrap around the fence...was a lovely warm sunset-time
